Thorough inspection, reliable quality

It is important to us at Second Round that customers can trust the quality of the phones they buy from us, which is why all phones undergo a thorough quality check using Neva Systems.

All of our phones are rated on a scale from A to E

Each device is checked for the current state and conditions for both the hardware and software, after which the phone is rated on an scale from A to E. Further explanations of the ratings are given below:

Grade A/A+

  • The wear on a grade A device can only be seen by very close inspection.
  • No wear anywhere on the device can be detectable to touch.
  • Overall, in excellent condition.
  • Up to 5 micro scratches are permitted, but no cracks, indentations or deep scratches are allowed.
  • 100% Functional device.

Grade AB

  • Overall, in very good condition.
  • Moderate wear, light scratches are permitted, but no cracks, or deep scratches.
  • Wear can be slightly worse on the back of the device.
  • Scratches become slightly detectable to touch.
  • Complete phone with covers and battery.
  • 100% Functional device.

Grade BC

  • On average most units will have obvious signs of everyday use, with a percentage showing heavier wear.
  • Some deeper scratches and dents, but nothing to obvious.
  • 100% Functional device.

Grade C

  • On average most units will have obvious signs of everyday use, with a percentage showing heavier wear.
  • Can have slightly bent enclosure parts, some deep scratches and dents.
  • Buttons will be functional but may require additional pressure to function.
  • Complete phone with covers and battery. No missing parts.
  • 100% Functional device.

Grade D

  • Mixed cosmetic condition devices, cracked glass and various faults to be expected.
  • The device powers on and can be erased.
  • Fully functional LCD. (Touch screen)
  • The LCD may have discolouration (Light yellow patch across the top and sides) No orange or blue areas.
  • The LCD can have visible screen burn where symbols can be seen and made out, but not to the extent where the screen burn will compromise the true visual aspect of the device.
  • The removable battery may be missing.

Grade E

  • Device powers on.
  • Faulty or damaged LCD. (Touch screen)
  • Cosmetic condition can range between A-D
  • May be missing its removable battery or back cover.
  • The device can be erased
